There is no AI add-on to buy. AI report drafting and SOAP note assistance are
included on every paid tier - Practitioner, Practice and Enterprise - and are
not available on the Free plan. They connect to your own AI infrastructure:
either a self-hosted Ollama instance running on your local network or server, or
your own Anthropic API key (Claude is the supported hosted provider).
Maree-CareFlow does not supply AI compute or consume tokens on your behalf, and never marks up
AI usage - you retain full control over your AI provider, data, and costs. That is exactly why
it is included rather than sold: the compute is yours, so there is nothing for us to bill.
Fair-use guideline for drafts each month: Practitioner 5,
Practice 15, Enterprise unlimited. It is a guideline, not a
metered cap - no software limit stops a legitimate clinical report mid-month.

Maree-CareFlow provides the capability to connect your practice to these providers - you supply your
own account credentials with each provider and pay your provider directly for usage costs.
We do not resell or mark up third-party service fees.
Telehealth is different: video is built in (Jitsi) and needs no third-party account - by default it uses the
public meet.jit.si service (a third-party server); you can optionally point it at your own self-hosted
Jitsi server, but nothing is required to start.
You can connect your own external accounts (SMS gateway, AI provider, Xero/MYOB accounting, payments) at no charge using our setup guides. If you would prefer Maree-CareFlow staff to set up a third-party service that connects via API on your behalf - for example creating and configuring your SMS gateway account, an external AI provider, or an accounting connection - a once-off API setup fee applies, from AUD $149 per external service, quoted before work begins. The fee covers account configuration, credential installation, and a verified end-to-end test. Ongoing usage costs remain payable to the third-party provider directly.

Automated backups are a property of how you installed, not of which plan you bought - they are the same on all four. The Docker, Ubuntu bare-metal and cPanel terminal installers schedule a nightly encrypted backup for you (02:15 by default) and every upgrade path takes one before it touches your database. The cPanel browser wizard is the exception: it cannot write to your crontab, so its last screen gives you the one line to paste into cPanel → Cron Jobs, and until you do, nothing runs on a schedule. The application's own scheduler does not take backups.
PRODA-ready means the Medicare/HICAPS claim workflow is built in - claims are captured, validated and benefit-estimated in the platform, then exported for lodgement through your existing channel; direct electronic submission is on the roadmap and is not yet included. NDIS PACE claiming generates portal-ready bulk payment request files that you upload to the myplace / PACE provider portal (the NDIA publishes no machine-to-machine claiming API).
